Eulogy of the Trash-Man

 Eulogy of the Trash-Man

“Alas, poor ‘Trash-Man’, we hardly knew ye. But we knew ye kindness nonetheless. We knew the scraps you’d hand out, after sitting in the street all day long. We knew how you’d let us humble vermin bundle into ye coats when it snowed. We knew your kindness, and your warmth, and yer gap toothed smile, and rambles about pigeons being government spies. We still don’t know what a camera is. Now, we lay you to rest where all our brothers rest, the dumpster outside of Waffle House, the place of highest regard. We love thee, Trash-Man, rest easy old timer…”
